Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD)

TÜSİAD was established in 1971 in order to advance Turkey’s democracy, promote free markets with well established rules of engagement, and contribute to Turkey’s integration with the rest of the world.

Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı was a founding member of TÜSİAD and Chairman of the High Advisory Council between 1980 and 1986. Bülent Eczacıbaşı was a member of TÜSİAD’s Board between 1986 and 1989, Vice Chairman of the Board in 1989 and 1990, Chairman of the Board in 1991 and 1992 and Chairman of the High Advisory Council between 1997 and 2000.

Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV)

TESEV is an independent non-governmental think-tank that analyzes pressing social, political and economic issues in Turkey and develops policy solutions for overcoming long-running problems.

Established in 1961 on the initiative of Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı as the”Economic and Social Studies Conference Board”, TESEV took on its current structure in 1994, when Bülent Eczacıbaşı served as its first Chairman of the Board.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey (İEİS)

Established in 1964, İEİS is dedicated to improving the productivity of the pharmaceutical industry’s business environment economically, legally and socially; play an influential role in Turkey’s healthcare policies that reflects the views of its membership; and contribute to the development of healthy competition in pharmaceutical markets. İEİS currently has 38 members and Bülent Eczacıbaşı is its Honorary Chairman.

İEİS is a member of the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) and the Association of the European Self-Medication Industry (AESGP).
